Briar was created by Peyton Lochead, a California-barred attorney whose work spans entertainment, legal and business strategy, creator and emerging industries, and ongoing work involving AI and modern technology.

Her legal training includes a J.D. from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law (2023), alongside a journalism degree from USC and graduate work in artificial intelligence through USC.

That perspective now informs work involving creative ventures, drafting and strategy, outdoor and recreation-focused legal questions, and practical problem-solving tied to how people build, operate, and explore.
